get on to I-80 WB. There are 3 lanes all going north but naturally only the far right lane has access to the exit to get on to the freeway. Most people change lanes fairly early to ensure that they can get on to the freeway and so there winds up being a decent line of vehicles in the right hand lane waiting to be able to get on to the freeway. Despite most people knowing that this is the case there often seems to be some people who decide they don't want to wait in the right hand lane and drive ahead to try and change lanes at the last minute to sneak into the line of people getting on to the freeway. Maybe I am wrong but I don't view this as a zipper situation since all 3 lanes continue NB past the exit on to I-80 WB. It is just people who don't feel like waiting and want to jump ahead in line.
