control; in other words, their OOC games, and weighed those games way more heavily than their conference games. Houston in the top 10 (or even top 50) is completely absurd. We can tell very clearly from years of post-season SOS rankings, and that's that the P5 teams and ND will generally be the top 65, while everyone else will fall in after that (tied closely to conference affiliation, especially for the G5 teams). Depending on the year a couple of G5 teams might just crack the top 65, and a couple of P5s might slip into the 66-75 range, but that's it. There's no reason to think that will change this year.
