to suggest that We would have beat Utah more in the last decade, gotten better recruits, and had more fan excitement had we been in the Mountain Westt. You’re not wrong that independence definitely hasn’t solved all of BYU’s ills, but the point of my post is that going G5 won’t magucall make everything better, in fact it could make things much much worse. The reality is, even if BYU were in a G5 conference we wouldn’t be winning 10-11 games every season....those who think so are delusional. BYU’s average season win total as an independent has been pretty much the same as its average season win total during our 12 year MWC run.... about 8 wins per season.
