Cheap real estate deals. It was shooting fish in a barrel. Today, real estate investors have to settle for much less favorable return prospects or they find, with lots of effort, some special situation that just renders favorable return prospects.
In 2009, the number of companies that were selling at low earnings multiples low single digits, and were experienced depressed demand was high. Today, there are very very few of those. Greed is rampant fear is at bay.
I have made a few select purchases recently. I like the investments long term and am hoping a market crash will allow me to buy more, even much more, though I doubt things would correct much more as things I buy are typically already going through an event of sorts that introduces fear.
Buy when there is blood in the streets. Sell into greed. A few on CB think most are too stupid to do this well. It is my go to.
