You may be right, but I sometimes fear that something as basic as attractiveness
may have racial undertones.

I once worked very closely with a woman of another race. She was by most people's definition an attractive woman, but I never felt any attraction to her. It occurred to me that this might have been due to some deeply seated unconscious prejudice and has always bothered me. It may not have been prejudice, but it HAS made me more aware of things that are, even if unintentional or subconscious.
