1. Ice hockey is more chaotic, has less possession than soccer.
2. Too fast, leading it to be more difficult to follow, with bodies inelegantly banging together.
3. Can't see the puck.
4A. Goals are not beautiful, and in fact difficult to even see. I read where a long-time hockey announcer said he had never actually even seen a goal.
4B. Goal area is too small, and the goal keeper has stupid thick pads on that nearly cover the entire goal area.
4C. The goal keeper doesn't have to make the spectacular diving saves like in soccer, but rather crouches down and limits range of motion so that the entire job of goalie is about as spectacular as me sitting on a toilet restricting my movement to reaching for the toilet paper.
5A. Hockey is like bad soccer. Even with soccer's fundamental and significant flaws it is significantly better than ice hockey.
5B. Compare indoor soccer with ice hockey. How much more clean the game is, how much more clean and crisp the execution is, how much more relatable running and ball control is compared with skating and that manipulating that little disk.
5C. Soccer has a much bigger and richer global presence, more interesting and diverse competitions, and is much bigger than hockey around the world.
5D. Soccer has already surpassed ice hockey in many ways in the USA.
5E. Soccer is more popular than ICE hockey in ICEland.
6. There are MANY other points to be made.
7. Trolling is bad.
8. You are welcome.
