Driving toward San Francisco on the 101 one afternoon in the second of five lanes, an accident

happened on my right bouncing a classic '54 Corvette across in front of me with fiberglass shards scattered across the freeway. Nothing I could do but keep driving. Looking in my rear view mirrors I could see vehicle carnage behind me. Nothing came out of that scramble. I watched for as long as I could but traffic was totally stopped. I felt very fortunate to have avoided being involved.
