Incline from the downtown area up to another township where our church was located. The road had two lanes in each direction divided by concrete jersey barriers. We were headed down the hill, my wife and kids in her SVU in the right lane, I was behind them by several car lengths in my truck in the left lane near the jersey barriers.

All of a sudden I see a tire from a car headed in the opposite direction bounce of the top of the jersey barrier, bounce in the lane in front on my truck, and then up and over my wife’s vehicle, and eventually come to rest on the shoulder of the road.

I have no idea how that tire cleared my wife’s vehicle, but that tire and rim would have done some serious damage if it had hit her car.
