Ditch the south lake and go to the north side. A lot less riff raff, and other
than Emerald Bay, it's more scenic.

But, if you must stay in south lake, I recommend a day at Angora Lakes. It's 2 small lakes near Fallen Leaf lake. Make sure you get there earlier in the morning because the parking lot fills up quick. Opens at 8am, I think it's $8 to park. You have to hike on a dirt road about a mile back in, but it's worth it. They have a small beach which is great for younger kids, and they have kayak and SUP rentals. There is a small store that has ice cream and fresh lemonade. On the opposite short, there is a nice 30 ft rock great for cliff jumping into the lake. They have cabins there, but there is like a 3 year waiting list to get in.

We just got back from Tahoe on Monday night and stayed in Incline Village. We always spend a day at Sand Harbor which is my favorite beach, but this time, we got access to one of the private beaches in Incline which is awesome. You can get access if you are staying at an Airbnb that is part of the Incline HOA.

Another suggestion is there a zipline and ropes course just outside of Tahoe City that is a lot of fun. Also, if you like white water rafting, there is a good company in Truckee that will outfit you with a guide. We did it last year and our youngest is 9 and we loved it. There is also a new bike trail between Incline and Sand Harbor they just completed construction on. We rented bikes on Saturday and road down the trail. You go right along the lake and it's beautiful
