True. Several of you are missing the mark
Cougarboard has always been a special repository of ignorance when it comes to the city.
This was reflected in the attitudes of many transplants from Northwest to the ward we attended there and it was reflected again in the pious comments condemning the city as Katrina was making landfall. That was my personal favorite cougarboard moment— wondering if I still had a home or if my friends and ward members were OK while my cougar board brethren literally said “good riddance.“
The point here is that Cougarboard has a well-worn track record of saying some incredibly ignorant things about New Orleans. If you find yourself falling in with that crowd, it’s not much of a validation for you being right.
