Not at all out of line. The dude you're giving them to should understand.
He's getting them for free. The least he can do is be respectful of the fact that you're a legacy ticket holder. Share that request with him and let him decide how to approach it with his wife... if she's even the one he takes.

It’s not a reasonable request imo. Just give them the tickets with no rules or give them to two BYU fans.

Trade them to a loyal fan who already has 2 tickets in a cheaper section, then give him the lesser tickets.
