I'll just copy and paste my earlier comment as it addresses this
So could any big dog for that matter. They've done studies on it, and there's
no difference in a Pitbull's jaws and the jaws of any other dog. Pitbull's jaws don't lock, Pitbull's jaws aren't more powerful than other dogs jaws, a pit bull will bite with around 300 pounds of pressure, which is a little less than your average dog bite. Before the 1980s when pitbull hysteria went into full swing because gang members started using them, Pitbulls were considered the ultimate family dog and to be great with children. Petey the Pup from "The Little Rascals" was a Pitbull. Pitbulls were nicknamed "nanny dogs" because of how good they are with children. In fact, they've done temperament studies on all breeds of dogs, and the Pitbull did better on the temperament test than Golden Retrievers. A Golden Retriever could do a lot of damage if it bit a toddler so by your logic, if Pitbulls are banned, Golden Retrievers should be banned too. https://dogtime.com/dog-health/general/1220-american-pit-bull-terrier-temperament-dog-bites
