unfortunately there is not much you can do if they get the proper documentation which is not hard. It really hurts everyone else because I am having to raise my all of my deposits because of ESA animals destroying the carpets. If think it is a crock that they don't have to pay an extra pet deposit. The law does state they responsible for damages but you can'[t charge a pet deposit or extra pet rent. It is very time consuming and difficult to get damages over the deposit so leaves landlords hands tied.
