Yep. Very similar reason I stopped listening to local sports talk years ago.
It was the year of the 59-0 UCLA drubbing. Leading up to the game, all the hacks on every station were talking about how BYU didn't have a chance, laughing at how badly they were going to get beaten. After the game I was interested to see what they said, and they all just talked about how UCLA wasn't that good, etc. Acted like they saw it coming, it was no surprise, etc. That was the last straw after years of almost quitting.

Haven't listened to a second of local sports talk since, with the exception of pre/post-game on KSL on my way to and from the game. Best decision I ever made. 11 years and running strong.
