I follow you. It is a package, but still a "trick" play.

They asked Kalani about it after the game and he alluded to there being more to that package than what we've seen so far. As much as it's not your standard trick play it's still an abnormal wrinkle to the offense.

Either way, I'm not a fan of it at all.

It's because misdirection is baked into the offense. It allows for natural trickery. I like it a lot.
