I mentioned a while back
That my friend’s dad, who was a 70 (now emeritus) saw Whitt and wife in the temple while they were mulling things over and they sat and discussed things for a bit. I was there when he (70) was talking about it. The 70 is big BYU, but the council was more focused on principles- didn’t try to sway him one way or another. I’m sure he spoke to other leaders as well. So there’s that.
