Nobody else in the country would care at all... in fact I think it would bet possibly a slight gain. Nobody cares about us being Independent. I think when we first became Independence, I think it kind of opened the eyes of the college football media people... but that shine wore off extremely fast and 8 years into this, we are seriously nose driven hard into complete irrelevance.

I'm seriously amazed that Sitake, after being on Whittingham's staff for so long and being able to see how Whittingham puts it all together... can't at the very least mimic it. That's basically what Jay Hill is doing at Weber State right now. Sitake either can't do what Whittingham is doing, either because he doesn't want to or he can't... but he's not doing it at all.

I know he wants to love on his players, while being a big time fan of the program... there is no doubt at all that Sitake loves BYU... loves his time there, loves everything about it... but he's not being a head coach anymore, he's being a best friend/bro as you mentioned... and the players are taking full advantage of it.
