I'm not arguing that there aren't differences. I'm arguing that the differences
aren't such that you can't compare. My "Not Really" was to the insinuation that I couldn't compare the three books--because you definitely can.
If you'd like to discuss the relative merits of why each book is better (e.g., some thing that the Silmarillion is a slog), then that's a valid debate.
