That's the point. The MWC is the easiest route to the NY6...sure...

but BYU would not even contend for the NY6 bowl bid more than a couple times per decade, if we're being forthright and honest here. As I stated, BYU would need to beat both Boise State and Utah State. How often is that happening? Then, BYU would need to outshine UCF, Houston, Memphis, Cincinnati or whoever the AAC crowns as its champion. Plus, you have to deal with a potential MAC, CUSA, or Sun Belt team that finishes with a nice-and-shiny undefeated record. 

The MWC may be the easiest route to the NY6, but that may be a route that leads to a brick wall and naught but a huge kick to the face and the reputation.
