The only issues with your conclusion are that you're including
teams that are sitting at midseason with the cake walk parts of their schedule left. They very well could finish above your hand picked standard.
You're also including a 2017 season that fell apart for a variety of reasons.
The threshold question is whether the program is in worse condition than when Bronco left. Other than coaching being worse, it seems about the same.
