This is the heart of the problem. I think most people are fine with imperfect
and inconsistent moderation. The decisions they have to make are not black and white. Everyone on all sides bears some blame and could improve.
But the problem is that the mods often act like it’s only everyone else who needs to be better. They act like they rarely make mistakes and are uncompromising in the face of alternative explanations for their interpretation of a post. And yes, the other mods then pile on like sheep.
