Dr. Robinson on Criddle's show said that they used to give severity grades...
like they do to shoulder separations etc.. But they discovered the grades were unhelpful/clinically inaccurate. They don't really know the severity of a concussion until the patient has recovered. What might have seemed like a huge blow to the head can sometimes be resolved in five days, while other, seemingly minor blows to the head can take weeks or months to resolve.
