Historically bad?
The 93 team gave up 435 points in 12 games which works out to 36.25 a contest. That was the glorious year we went into Pasadena at 4-0 all high and mighty and UCLA dropped 68 on us which has got to be an all time record for BYU. Later in the season the Dairy Yewts put a 58 spot on us in Logan. So no, this year's defense is not "historically bad".

BTW, 29.7 ppg would have been 81st in the nation last year. So when saying "historically bad" that's a bit hyperbolic
