This is spot on. Our defense played well enough for us to beat Toledo and USF.
If our offense was even mediocre, we would have won those games. Our D held the Utes to 3 first half points, and 17 points for the entire game. Don't tell me that's not enough to win. The D hasn't been stellar, but it's certainly good enough. Any of John Beck's or Max Hall's offenses would be either 6-1 or 5-2 at this point. Taysom (with Anae as O coordinator) would have us at 5-2 or 6-1 at this point.It's actually not really debateable. Our O has been a big problem. And missing a couple of easy kicks would have probably won us Toledo and USF as well.

BTW, 29.7 ppg would have been 81st in the nation last year. So when saying "historically bad" that's a bit hyperbolic
