I am not the one trying to justify the dumb comment mentioned in the OP.
I like marvel for what it is: fun a popcorn flick that I'll enjoy on occasion. And that's about it. Some reach into the legitimate good movies category but most don't.
And me not liking something as much as you do isn't me being a yewt. It is called life. It is okay that we differ about the value of Marvel. I just don't understand why it bothers you so much.
