Unfortunately, that's difficult to do. In a lot of cases, the victim is
victimized again by being put on the stand. However, a victim's testimony is usually required for conviction and a criminal defendant has the right to confront his accuser.

I've seen cases get dropped entirely because the victim refuses to testify.
