Don't you think Pope knows he needs better players?
There aren't a lot of players out there and the good ones have already been bouth and paid for by the big programs. BYU won't pay for players.

You look at recruiting to BYU through your eyes, the blue googled, everyone should love BYU, Mormon or not.

I have lived in a few places in my life and BYU isn't the dream destination that many of us want it to be. Lots of kids that could survive at BYU don't choose BYU because of Honor Code, Academics, Provo is weird, etc.
Read between the lines about the Mandell kid and his exit and return to BYU, it is not that easy for some people to come to the environment at BYU, whether they are good people or not and whether they can live the Honor Code or not.
I am a BYU graduate, love watching the teams (all sports) but to be honest, I am not sure if I was a high school kid right that I would want to go to BYU.

I know Cedar City isn't a destination place, but neither was Spokane before Few got there.

Give Pope time and see what happens in a few years, then judge him, but holy cow, he just started.
