Virginia was 5-7 the 2nd year prior to Bronco taking over

6-7 wasn't exactly a huge jump. Also note that in that 6-7 season, Virginia started off 5-1. They then proceeded to lose 6 of their last 7 and lost by 42 points in the bowl game and got shutout by their rivals. I don't think any Virginia fans are looking at that season as a huge success, but it was a baby step forward.

How's that for context?
