Anyone who follows football knew it would be close...and a number of posters said that--so that's where I disagreed with you. A pretty large group felt it was going to be very close...
What few expected is that we would show so poorly (we wouldn't at least "show well")
Something like a 7 point or less loss with us scoring at least 20. Against SDSU's defense, that would have been "showing well"
