We went to both and Entebeni was the better of the two
Kruger was still amazing, but at Entebeni we had lions within 8 feet, water buffalo, we touched Rhinos, we saw everything but leopards. Elephants herds envoloped us at one point, going around our vehicle as they traveled down the road as a herd. We could reach out and touch them. One night, we saw a cheetah and a hyena fighting.

There was a high plain that was absolutely incredible with about a dozen herds of different animals all within photo shot. I really cannot fully describe how amazing Entebeni was for us. The accommodations were amazing and we could hear elephants and hippos at a nearby watering hole at night. I even accused them of piping in animal sounds. During the day, herds of zebra and wilderbeast would pass all around the cabin we were in. Crocodiles were snapping at the tires of the land rover we were in. The terrain was incredible. We also did the helicopter ride to the "19th Hole" (see picture below). Our pilot was an iraq veteran from the SA army and he did some amazing flying. At one point he turned the helicopter completely sideways and flew it between a mountain crevasse. It was nuts.

Kruger is still a must see, but for photos, the ability to leave the road, to position yourself and to find great shots, and the number of animals was way better for us at Entebeni. We were there in December 2015. (My parents were missionaries in the Johannesburg mission and they did a ton of research to plan out our activities once we were there. In fact Entebeni was in the area my dad was the branch president over).
