If you keep in mind projections are not predictions of the future, but rather what the current snapshot looks like, then you can understand where your team stands today and what they have to do to improve or maintain their spot. It's a midterm report card, not a guess at a final grade. It tells you if they've accomplished something to this point or if all of their work is still to come, and also compares them to everyone else so we don't just look at them in a vacuum. And for me, it makes the season way more fun when you even can look at these. The last 4 or 5 years we didn't have that.
