Interesting that you picked those 4. They are all very different and Anae is really the only one that fits the point of what the initial poster is implying. You are right about Anae as a talent, but man imagine the Ute rage over how dirty BYU is if the punch against BYU and the hit on the Oregon QB came from a BYU player.  That aside. He would have come to BYU 15 years ago. As a DL who could blame the kid based on the difference in style of play and putting kids into the league when he committed.

The other 3 aren't at BYU because it's BYU. Francis committed and was great for 2 years, he just didn't fit into BYU anymore. Mika was committed but never really committed. Some kids just don't fit. It's that way today and was that way 20 years ago. 

Personally love the way Blackmon plays, but wasn't Utah his only D1 offer.  Scalley did a great job of identifying potential that nobody else saw. BYU wasn't the only school that missed recruiting him
