I don’t like to minimize the Francis Bernard situation...
I don’t think we need to hound the guy and beat a dead horse over it but this wasn’t a case of “he just didn’t fit at BYU any longer”. Francis was an RM, and not from a decade previous but just a couple of years previous, who was smoking dope and partying and CHOOSING to blatantly not live the HC and keep him commitments and promises to more than just BYU.
It wasn’t that he “didn’t fit” it’s that he purposefully and intentionally did things he’s committed not to do. And I would assume that was how he did things right from the start and not just at that point in time.
So as I said no need to hound him but we also don’t need to pretend it was “not a good fit any longer” it was him being a bad dude and not living up to his commitment.
