he thinks is best in this conference. I don't think he would force so much in the SEC, but who knows. Comparisons don't really mean a whole lot. Leach runs what is probably the "purest" air raid. Someone like Sonny Dykes hasn't really been running the air raid at places like SMU and Cal. USC isn't true air raid at all and Helton even said so. And Harrell was balanced when he was at UNT as well. You can probably expect USC to run even more in the future as they get better personnel for it. Someone like Riley has had a combo offense for a long time.
I guess maybe that was part of your point, but it's hard to call many an air raid. He's old school yes, and sticks to it, but we'll see what he does with SEC recruiting. You can't claim he ignores defense though. His RBs are heavily featured and while he doesn't go deep with the unit, his top guy can put up some good numbers and be extremely heavy in the passing game. Still gets over 200 touches. Call it all stubborn. Call it sticking to an execution-base, which is what his offense is.

Either way I'd like to see what he does after a while in Starkville. He'll never, ever have a lot of runs, because he's the only true air raid coach, but I think we could see a thousand yard rusher from him down there. He'll have RBs rushing for 700-1000 with 15+ total TDs and they'll move the ball like always.

BTW, those aren't all necessarily "better" than what he's doing. Choosing to do things differently doesn't always mean it's better. You're mad at him, but are some of these offenses actually better than his? Are they accomplishing more?
