The only "assumption" anyone made was that it goes back to the general fund...
and even that assumption was proceeded by "I don't know for sure" as well as being called an assumption. I'm looking for any other assumption and not seeing any and especially not any being "taken as facts".

The rest is pretty much actual fact, multi million dollar surplus? Fact. VP of Advancement leaving? Fact. VP of Advancement responsible for athletics and approves expenditures? Fact.

So I'm just trying to figure out what posts triggered your reply.

Also what you said about "the athletic program putting millions back into the program in recent years" is great but that isn't the actual point. We are told by the powers that be that BYU does not have the revenue of the P5 schools so we cannot expect them to function like a P5 and have that same level of recruiting personnel and conditioning personnel, etc. but it would seem to me that a $10 million dollar profit would go a long way toward them functioning like a P5 school. If they are taking in multi million dollar "surpluses" every year and they aren't being applied to the things we are told they cannot afford then it really seems like they can afford them and just refuse to actually do them.
