It gets tainted by losing to #125 Toledo/#98 USF etc. Bottom-half FBS finishes

are far from what BYU has been and what we've aspired to be as a program for many decades. This is the worst 3-year stretch of results in the modern era.

USC finished as an unranked, 5-loss team and Boise st. was clearly overrated due to an easy schedule and barely stayed in the top 25. It's not like we beat two top-5 teams or something. Those were solid wins, but 2 good wins doesn't get to cancel out all the bad that happened.
