of course that was in the 1970's and things have changed in the Bay Area but I think a place like San Jose is still pretty desirable. I'd probably move south to Gilroy or Hollister though. In fact a lot of the people in our ward in San Jose were already moving to those places, Hollister in particular, back in the 70's so that exodus was already happening over 40 years ago.
