Trying to generalize and lump every and all situations into one pool
when it comes to recruiting isn't a very good look. Making a claim about something as wild and bipolar as recruiting, with stuff going on on both sides, and a hundred different reasons on both sides. Man, you don't come out of this looking like you follow all that much. I'm not insulting you. But to comment like anything in something like recruiting is ever set in stone or lumped into one convenient answer, I just don't know where you'd come up with that.

Problem is you're trying to make something black or white. True or false. THAT is the only myth here. That there's one way or the other. There's hardly a situation that's just like another. You're trying way too hard to simplify something that is literally different for everyone. Starting with the fact that you're ignoring how you often hear a kid gets an offer in the first place.
Claiming there's one answer here is as wrong as one can get.
