Absolutely loved it. I think what makes the BYU econ department so good for an undergrad is the combination of top notch, research oriented faculty (Harvard, MIT, Princeton, UChicago grads) and no grad program. Since there is no graduate econ program at BYU, the educational focus is primarily undergraduate.
The courses are rooted deep in math, statistics and econometrics which prepare students well for graduate school. They also do a really good job of teaching the students how to apply the math and think outside the box. There are also a lot of high quality research projects to get involved in.
It’s an incredibly versatile degree - I ended up going into medicine. Definitely has influenced my career for the better.
