* Holmoe and his staff? Who would you have hired over Holmoe, and had the previous ADs put us in a better position?
* Coaches - I would agree in some way with this one, but I'm not really sure who we would have hired over Kalani. Ken Niumatalolo? Would he have been better? I can't remember a bunch of names that were far better than Kalani.
* Players - Granted, there have been some significant shortcomings in the personnel we have had but we have also had significant injuries during that time that really affected the outcome of the year.

I agree with many things you said but my main response was to LDS kids and Poly kids who may not be coming. I think all of the things I listed have each contributed to the downfall of BYU football over these past ten years. I really remember the 70s and 80s and being a fan then. Those were great days, but I'm not sure that I see any solution that BYU could have avoided where they currently are. Crowton had some great things, but he lacked institutional control and there were many offensive blunders I remember during those years. Bronco, great defensive mind, but also laid some serious eggs during his tenure. Who would have put us where you want?
