I’m not just looking to argue, cut the crap like that because it’s stupid. He made a claim which I find exaggerated but wanted to know at least why he thinks that so I asked.
I’ll grant you it can’t be a comparison to usc but if we are comparing to ourselves then how that group pans out in wins and losses in comparison to other BYU classes is plenty relevant.
But it is a good point that because of how a class at BYU spreads out the class itself can have quite a few quality players but it doesn’t result in wins because of that spread. And that is the sort of explanation I was looking for. Hard to get if you don’t ask the question.
That said I only partly agree, the points a good one but for me wins factor in more than the two of you apparently think they should to earn a grade of “excellent”.
