*DISCLAIMER* In no way am I condoning Chaz's behavior.
I am a student at BYU currently. To those who blissfully assume Provo, and even Utah, are free from the pulls of the world: you are dead wrong. I know plenty of people my age, in Provo, BYU student or not, who use alcohol/drugs on a semi regular basis. The party lifestyle is out there and easy to find.
Secondly, to assume that everyone has a life changing spiritual experience on a mission is also dead wrong. I think this is a toxic thought process to have in the Church. There are many who are not changed much by it. Some might ask how? I dont know. Lots of different experiences. Some people are actively trying to regain their faith after their mission. Some don't care and drift away. To just assume that post mission you are free from evil is a very ignorant thought. You are spiritually suseptible whenver you let your guard down. Satan doesnt care that you served a mission.
He is star player on a well known college football team. Some guys really think they are on top of the world and cant be knocked down.
As someone his age, I definitely understand how something like this can happen. However, these factors in no way shape or form warrant a free pass for this kind of selish and irrational conduct...
