the season continued, players were seeing the benefits of unselfish play and truly having more fun making the extra pass than shooting themselves.

Getting the team to all trust and buy into this approach has no doubt been accelerated by having a lot of seniors.

No doubt, Pope has helped establish this culture by what he was asking of the team, but the players themselves have taken it to the level that we are now seeing.

It will be very interesting to see how much of this chemistry and energy can/will transfer to next years team — as you do have younger players seeing and experiencing the benefits of this year's team.

For now, it's hard not to just enjoy the outcome, because this is how the game of basketball is meant to be played.
