My Global Sourcing team has had phone calls with 100+ factories in the last week. It ain’t looking good.
Most factories only have a small portion of workers. Of those factories that do have workers output is very low. We have a factory that sends us 100 containers a month, and they’re only at 20% capacity.
Even if you have finished goods ready to be shipped out many times there are no truck drivers. And if product does manage to get shipped out there is a shortage of workers at the port.
If the Chinese report positive GDP growth in 2020, we’ll know they are lying.
