He still went to a lot of activities in different arenas, mainly here in CA, usually with my BIL. They almost always took him and his son down to the floor so he could see. Also down by the track at motorcycle races, etc. He had the best seats in the house usually; the other times they set him up on a concourse where he had an unobstructed view. But I think just being old and not wanting to stand up won't get you the same treatment.
