Fair enough. I learned to say Chile in a Glaswegian accent, along with many other words. I was constantly
laughed at by teachers and classmates, in a friendly way. My parents emigrated from Glasgow, Scotland, and I still pronounce words very differently. For example, I still pronounce nearly all "t"s in my words with a strong t, such as twenTy (and not twendy or twennee like most Americans) or city as ciTy not cidee. My wife also laughs at me.
