Nope - it’s definitely a balancing act.
I greatly care about the economy - my own retired parent’s 401k took devastating hits (They didn’t convert to bonds in time). No one is suggesting quarantining until a vaccine is developed.

There are people far smarter than me looking at and analyzing these things. The US - as a country was wholly unprepared, even basic things that would have been really helpful to stem the tide such as masks for the general public was lacking. Everyone is trying their best.

If we can do things like close state borders then we can shift healthcare resources better - like close NY/NJ borders for example, shift healthcare resources there from places not hit as hard currently. But we can’t shut down borders...states are against this.

The things in place right now are absolutely appropriate until we have more data - find out where states are on the curve. There is a reason why Seattle/Cali (San Fran) are looking more like the S Korea curve and NY/MI/Louisiana are looking like the Italy curve.

But you are free to your own opinion and solution.
