I don't get it.

Everyone in my family knows my dad has high cholesterol, is overweight, and had cancer three times. All those things would put him at risk. If he died tomorrow or coronavirus, and reporters came knocking or people asked me about it, I would tell them he was at risk. Would have nothing to do with HIPAA right?
