I learned in 2008 that disregarding banks is a mistake. My company then went bankrupt. Having a line of credit for business may never be needed, but everyone needs to be prepared. I network with different banks all the time. Out of all of those, only one bank could move forward.

Calling my bank won’t help you. I use community banks because they are more responsive. Unfortunately, crises like this give a good indication of the value of your bank and your relationship with them. Lots of banks suck for service.
