Icecat All-American
I saw this in 2007 at the LA Film Festival. The juxtaposition
of half the room being the flamboyantly dressed punk rock crowd and the other half being the typically staid members of the Church was really entertaining and the whole movie is that way.

My favorite line is when Arthur tries to describe for a punk audience what feeling the Holy Ghost is like and after a second, kind of realizing this is going to sound sacrilegious but he doesn’t have a better analogy, he apologetically says “it’s like an acid trip…from the Lord.”

This is my all-time favorite movie. Over the years I have bought up at least a dozen copies of the DVD (before it was on YouTube it has been cheap like $5 on eBay) just to gift them to people who I thought would appreciate the beauty of this film. I recommend everyone watch it.
